 | | It seems you guys all have huge hunting knives and army knives. I think I'm the only one in this forum without a hunting knife or any knife that is bigger than my hand.... Whoops.... Trooper, do you have any hunting knives or any knives that are bigger than the general size of your hand? Hope I'm not the only one!!! he he |
Doh, I've done most of my huting with swiss army knives and around that size. Only once have I skinned a rabbit with a bowie, and that was to see if it could be done.

Its a beautiful knife but id get a cheaper one. Just me. If you have that money and dont mind then i say go for it. But i would buy a cheaper one to see what you need in one before you spend 80$

Buck make some decent knives, though for a bit more you can get one in ats-34, or 154 cm stainless version from Cabela's, I think they even have one in S30V. Are from canada?

where ever, usa, canada, china?
Just because canadiantire doesnt have the hugest selection of knives, if you from the states theres much more of a choice, though thats steadily changing.
Like http://www.warriorsandwonders.com/ is a great canadian site, and where I do my buisness Jay the owner is a great guy, love knives and is awsome to deal with.

I have a question, If I buy a leatherman blast, then should I still buy a folding saw? The Blast has a wood saw but I like the folding saw I was going to get. Should I buy one or should I not get a folding saw? Thanks in advance people.

I only have 1 SOG, and thats in my cycling hydration pack.
Im not a real fan of just a standerd folding knife. I like folding lock knifes.
Thats why i just leave my SOG in the hydration pack, i never really use it.
Folding Lock Blades & Fixed only for me.

Well I finally broke down and bought a Buck 119, very nice knife. I like it because it's something I can carry on my belt as much as possible without maybe getting hassled.

I have a question about partial serrations on a fixed blade or folding. What are the partial serrations for?

Just rope...that's kinda funky, you can just use the straight edge for that can't you? And you cannot sharpen it in any way right? It will just get duller and duller until it's just a waste of blade. And then you've got only half of a blade right?
