So you still have them, they are just in another location. I thought you sold everything you had.

You had me worried there for a while. I have to thank you and turd for recomending the Mora's. I've gotten nothing but compliments on them. I ussually hand them saying, "take care of my best knives, alright" then once they use them and see how unbelievably sharp they are they always ask "Whoa! How much is one of these!?!" They don't believe I bought all three for $30 shipped. I've dressed up two of the shealths, one with normal leather, and the other with a fur hide.

I thought about cutting the handle off of the one with the fuzzy shealth, and put an antler handle on it. But I like the handle it has too much I think! I may have to order more now!

Yeah but I cheated. I just soaked the leather, and sewed it around the plastic sheath.

Hey Guys...
Thank you very much for the kind words..
I appreciate them Greatly...
As far as Moras are concerned, they are indeed a Very inexpensive knife, anywhere from $10 -$30 for standard models...
However for their price, they Simply cannot be beat.
Whenever I see someone saying they are looking for a new knife and only have $30 to spend, I always direct them today Moras and with any money left over, they can probably buy a firesteel of some kind as well..
Moras are probably the most widely used knives in the world today next to the common butterknife. There are Moras still being used that are generations old...
As far as th sheaths go....
Well they are certainly of the cheaper viariety, however they are serviceable. I just personally find them a little on the insecure side, and pprefer a Kydex sheath for them...
They do make Great Scraper knives for Firesteel, however the backs on most of them, Especially the M2K must be squared off with a file, or some type of grinder...
Once this is done the knives are Perfect for the task...
Moras in all shapes and sizes can be found here
www.ragweedforge.com
Ragnar is a Great Guy, Knows his moras and has fast and friendly service.
SAKS...
SAKS are some of the most useful knives around...The steel on them is Excellent, they take and hold a good edge, and should give you a lifetime of service..
Personally I prefer a SAK that I'm going to use for Bushcraft to be of the larger variety. The RUK SAK is an Excellent knife, and is basic, with a nice sized locking blade, wood saw, cap lifter/screw driver and can opener.. Pretty much what you need in a camping situation..
After several years of using the RUK, I found the Outrider, which has everything the RUK has, plus a pair of scissors, and a small Phillips driver...
After a few more years of use, I came across the Hercules, same features as the RUK and Outrider, with the addition of a pair of pliers, and two sizes of phillips drivers...
It is a pretty thick knife, possibly too thick for some people,, but again I like a larger SAK, and the tools come quite handy...
Theres been countless times where I've needed these type of tools to do repairs and such, and a SAK has gotten me out of a jam or two...
If you are in need of a good place to buy a SAK, here is the place to go...
www.sosakonline.com
and head for Felinevets shop...
Tim (Felinevet) is a Great guy to deal with.. His prices are absurdly cheap and customer service is Top shelf. Besides being a Vet, tim also runs a Cat and Kitten rescue..
All profits from his knife sales go directly toward upkeep of his Cat rescue...
Both of these shops for moras and SAK I can highly vouch for and deal with both on a regular basis.. It is where I buy my knives...
So if you haven't tried a Mora or a nice SAK.. Get yourself one and you'll have some Really good quality knives to use on your next trip....
Thanks again Guys..
Eric

It seems you guys all have huge hunting knives and army knives. I think I'm the only one in this forum without a hunting knife or any knife that is bigger than my hand.... Whoops.... Trooper, do you have any hunting knives or any knives that are bigger than the general size of your hand? Hope I'm not the only one!!! he he

Sorry SurvivorMan but I got 2 Machetes, as well as one nice big Kukri Parang Bushcraft Bush Tracker Knife I just ordered off Ebay as I really wanted it. I do have some other big folders, and fixed blades but they got lost when I was a kid, or in my more recent move as I haven't seen them in years.
different knifes are needed for any situation. You might need a small hard sturdy knife to do some carving. Or you might need a flexible knife to do some gutting, or scaling.
Sometimes a big heavy knife unsharpened knife like a machete is needed when chopping through tons and tons of loose vegetation. Other times you need something very sharp.
Lots of different jobs, and lots of different knifes to do them.

Thats true, it depends on how or what you need to do with the knife. I never need to cut down trees or go through bush thivk enough that I'd need a machete or Kukri. I only need small knives, like leathermans, small fixed blades and pocket saws.
