15 km isn't to far for piece of mind i tell ya. I drive for 40min to 1.5 hrs to get Waaaaay out there. Cool
Its all good. Thats why i like camping in the late spring, early summer. Not many people out yet wrecking the solitude Wink

There is a majour river around here called the Vedder River.
Awsome fishing almost all year round. If a guy can get across at certain spots there is NO ONE around Very Happy
Its worth making 3 or 4 trips with gear to set up. No one will cross so you got the whole side of the river & Mountain to yourself Cool its what im going to do in early summer.

on my walking stick i am carving some stuff on it
i have the word TRACK with a cat print just under the word because i like tracking and want to learn to do it better
on top of the word track i have an arrow head to symbolise me as a hunter
then through out the rest of the walking stick i am adding stuff like a pic of a solar still as a way to get water,i have a knife to show my main tool in the bush
i have a pipe just cuz lol and thats all i have on it so far i want to mark the length to help with tracking like mark every foot or every few inchs or something ill put pics up of it here in a little bit when everything is done being carved in it

If you do find or go to a Lee Valley's there are order books you look through. Its not so much stuff on the shelf you pick up & take to a till. The order book you will want to look through is; Woodworking & Wood shop.
For me its sooooooooooo easy to spend $ 200 + in that store. So i have a system. I pick out at home what i need & wright down the item # and cost, then when i get into the store i go right for the order form, lol. No looking around Laughing
