Do you always carry 2 knifes, and a multi-tool Question

I always carry a multi-tool, but that's about it.

never know when you need a fixer, the folder is for the norm and Constantly using the drivers and pliers of the leatherman.

Thankfully these tools are light enough I dont really notice them and the way i carry them makes all the diffrence. Nimravus IWB leatherman on the reight side, and 551 my front right pocket.

My multi-tool will suffice for me. I really have no need in the city or at home. And really I don't want to attract attention to myself with a huge knife on my side. Shocked Actually I'm unsure of what the laws are, because they're so hard to find. Confused

I think I'll keep my flashlight with me now along with my multi-tool. Cool

Those laws are confusing. Confused If it's in your pocket is the knife conceled? And it doesn't say any size limitations in there, so is one to assume that you can carry a sword if one wanted to as long as it's visible. Question

Here in canada, your at a sword convention and you have one on, no one is going to say a thing. Now, your on the street even though its not illegal an officer will tell ya to take it off, and or remove it. If you have a tacitical folder of sometype and for what ever reason they searched you to find that knife it will be a weapon in their eyes. If you dont do illegal acts, then dont worry about what you carry, the old sayin, what they dont know wont hurt them. IN YOUR CASE, obviously if a criminal has a weapon they're going to want to know about that, because that can hurt them.

If your dressed the part to be a threat to officers than ya. there gonna ask you if you have any weapons, true we dont see knives as that, but If I was an officer I know I wouldnt care what excuse you had, if you look, act and have the items to be a threat your gonna get a second look from many.

I wear dark fasionable jeans, a polo shirt a fancey watch and and a pair of sneakers, or light hiker's. I have a clean cut appearence, No one is going to worry about me. For all they know, that camera case I have on my belt has a camera, true enough its a suvival/repair kit.

Keep it plain, simple and dont draw attetion. Ive been carrying knives sense I was 8, not once have I had one taken away.

I think I'll talk to somebody at sportsmans warehouse next time I go there at the knive counter. I'm not worried about carrying my folder, it's just my SRK. Even the sheath does look intimidating. I heard something about 6" max before, but I don't know if that's true or not. Confused

Its called being gray, meaning dressing in a way to not draw attention, as well as keeping your self away from attention.

Even so I can't even take the slightest risk or else I'll loose my job. That would screw up a good portion of my life right there. Shocked Even if there's a 1% chance of getting in trouble I can't take that chance.

Ok, so where is it that you want to carry your SRK? I have a general rule, no fixed knives in town, anywhere else ok, but not in towns.

I just read through Wisconsin state laws and it didn't say anything about knife length. I am 99.9% sure that you can legaly carry any knife (Except a switchblade) around with you as long as it isn't concealed.

In my neck of the woods, you can carry a knife with a blade up to 4", as long as it's not a switchblade or similar type of knife. It's expected that you will keep it out of site to keep people - including cops - from getting nervous. If you use anything as a weapon, you can be charged with using a weapon and if you had it concealed you can be charged with carrying a concealed weapon no matter what it is.
