yeah I am pretty sure fishing is a drug, once you start, it gets in your blood and the cravings drive you insane until you give in and fish. Speaking of which, need to go get my license.

Shocked FISHING ! Shocked ................................... MUST FISH Shocked thats the zombie zone you get in Laughing
It is addictive, & mega fun & really relaxing. The price of the license is so worth it for a year of fishing.

Fishing didn't go very good for me. Confused I don't think I even got a bite. I'll have to try again sometime, but next time I'll try to get some worms. I think the lake was overfished too.

Well Mystick, i can't tell ya how many times ive been out and caught nuttin. Thats just the way it is, its not always the fisherman. Bait can make or break if you catch anything though, so its good to find out what they are after in what time of the year. As far as it being over fished, you should get ahold of your local fisheries department & ask if or when it was stocked. They usually dont let good areas be over fished because thats revenue for them.
Sport fishing is a multi million dollar sport that pumps lots of bucks $ into the system, so they want people to go fish & get results or they move on to other locations.
I find with myself after years of fishing is learn about the fish you are going for.
Educate yourself about them as much as possible. This helps, believe me Cool Cheers

And dont forget ! ... its not always about catching fish, its all about being outdoors & relaxing with your buds or piece & quiet by yourself.

Yeah it's really nice to learn about the animals around you. Every time I go out I learn so much about the animals. I've learned about turtles, birds, muskrat, and other animals. It's not hard, you just have to pay attention. Cool

I think it was too cold for the fish when I went fishing. I think they get more active later this month. Very Happy

Does anyone know if somebody makes salamanders for fishing? When I went kayaking I spotted this white thing in the water, so I picked it up with my paddle. It was shaped like a salamander, and was white, kinda ruffed up. I had no idea if it was an old weathered salamander lure, like a rubber body, or if it was a decayed real salamander. Confused

I looked them up online, I think they're for bass. I think I'll mainly be panfishing all year. Cool

Yeah, they make plastic baits in the likeness of salamanders, and you are right, they are used primarily for bass. My dad likes to use them for a carolina rig. Very Happy

Panfishing, huh? I recommend live crickets. Cool

Yeah that salamander lure freaked me out. I looked at it and picked it up, and was like WTF! Shocked Is this real or not. Confused I noticed there was a flat surface on the front of it's head indicating that was the spot to put a hook in.
