There you are...you've hiked up and down the trail all day, finally made it to the most remote location your legs could take you, finished setting up camp and now it's time to relax.

I enjoy watching the fire while sipping on some wiskey and talking to whomever was fool enough to follow me out here. What do you like to do when you're finally there?

I like to make food on the fire (whatever it may be).

Probably go for a hike too

While I like to do this too, I’m a bit more sadistic. After making them walk all day, after dinner I normally drag them out on a night hike. By the time they get back to camp, they’re usually ready to go right to bed. The only buddy I had that really enjoyed this kind of abuse moved away a couple years ago so now I camp alone. **Sigh**,,…… It’s hard to find hardcore campers.

i really like the sounds/smells deep into the wilderness. People think i'm wierd when i say in the fall that it smells like deer hunting. But it's what i relate it to. But yea sitting there with the fire burning listening to whatever feels the need to make noise.

I mostly do day hikes. so I find some place to sit and eat my lunch. I watch and listen to everything that's going on around me. I try to figure out how everything fits together in the ecosystem. I might make some photos. If I hear someone playing the harmonica, I move on to a quieter spot.

Hmmm, After i settle in.
Pictures, make some chow, build my fire - get lots of wood for the evening, set up tent, get out of my boot's & into some comfy campy shoes. Then relax, read for a bit, stoke the fire, eat again, watch the sun go down, sip some
Jim Beam for a night cap, Crash ! Wink . And get up nice and early for a day hike & camp crafting Very Happy .

Smoke a cigar, light a fire, make my campsite, take pictures, carve, sleep.

Go hike into campsite
Set up camp/build shelter
Hike off somewhere into forest
Come back and make fire
Sit around fire and carve sticks into spears and knives and such
Sleep around fire
