I would like to download, but doesn't it take 'their' player to play it? It looks a little risky, I wouldn't want to download and have a bunch of spam, malware, adware, spyware.....anyone have experience with this site?

Just download "Utorrent" or "Bitcomet" and go to http://isohunt.com/ or http://torrentportal.com/ Very Happy
When you click the torrent file, make it OPEN WITH "Utorrent" or "Bitcomet".
Off The Grid at torrentportal
Off The Grid at isohunt

Yep I personally use Azurus. Its much lower risk than regular P2P

It should be alright.

looking at his personal webpage, they mentioned it being a 2part series. hopefully we can get our hands on the second part.

btw.. i agree with trying to live a self sufficient lifestyle, but sometimes tend to think that its taken a little too far. he says that his children are constantly on his mind, but i don't see how homeschooling, and living miles away from any other children could benefit them socially/emotionally. in my mind, he's just creating a generation of hermits, and from the interview with the kids, you can tell that they don't understand it 100%.. its just stuff passed down from their parents and repeated almost mindlessly by them. but who knows, i could be totally wrong, and the kids will grow up to be important figures in society and educate the masses just like their father.

That's what I thought too, but they (the kids) still participate in their other hobbies, and I'm sure they still have their friends. Personally I would have loved to be home schooled. Public schools were such a waste of time IMO. I bet half of the time I didn't learn anything because the teachers were taking care of the troubled kids, or other teachers problems. Rolling Eyes That's why I think I loved highschool and college so much. The teachers didn't take any guff from anyone, and I actually learned a lot more because of it.

lol yeah i like how you all said ill download it i cant say that on my end i use dial up

you can download anything with dial-up, you just have to be willing to wait the extra time. ive downloaded stuff that had few seeders, speends of 5kb/s so sometimes you have to wait days for it to complete. it all depends on how bad you want it and if you are willing to wait. Rolling Eyes
