This is a book published in the 70’s and is one of many (35-40) by the author. Not only does he tell you how to survive in the wilderness with a certain amount of comfort, he also includes his personal experiences that make the book that much more interesting.
This guy is what is know as a true “Sourdough” and was considered something of a guru for wilderness living back in the 70’s He was into some pretty intense wilderness exploration.
As popular as he was, I don’t doubt that Les (who’s about my age) has read some of his books.
Don’t let the age of his writings fool you either, most of what he’s written even back in the 50’s is still applicable today.
Just do a search for his name and you’ll see just how popular his writings still are.
Five stars on this guy.

I’ve got that one too. It was originally published in 1956 and is still a popular one today.
