Now now guys be nice, please keep the Campfire like chat to a minimum, this is a serious issue.

like i said, the official les stroud website with the official survorman forums should be brougt back. I would like to see a similar site to this one due to it functioning very well and being strait forward. A good group of moderators would be appriciated. This is all i have to say on the issue. I will participate in either or both sites should they be around.

I don't know! On the one hand it would be great to have Les' forums back! But to be honest, it scares me that he might have to pull the plug again! If he did, we would be right back out in the cold. At the very least, he would need a ton of mods and I would really reccomend that it be all business. Keep a place like this for community, and just leave his Survival/Survivorman realted. No "Camfire", no "silly" threads, all business over there and community over here. Those off topic threads can be a b*tch to stay on top of...
He would need to have a bunch of mods! That's my .02! They make all the difference in the world! A good crew of mods, can make or break a site! And yes I speak from experience, I have been a mod, and still am - On a site with 32,000 members...

What Cedrone said makes a lot of sense. However, it would save time to have just one site with boards. It would be good if Les would give Arctic Cove his blessing as a semi-official Survivorman fan site and provide a link to it from his site. Les could maintain a thread on this site to alert us when new info is posted on his site.

Good idea Bush, so far this is what my idea is, feel free to add on:
- Les' will be the official (obviously) since his forum has more bandwidth, he offerd to has this the officical but i'm scared it might over flow, which is has before
- This will be semi-official, backup if you may, notify the other forum to come here incase that ones down to maintainence or something
- Keep this forum running, not shut it down, no reason to
- Still keep updating with new news.

Yeah, or you could cut down the Survivorman stuff on this site, and make it a General outdoors forum, that is a kind of sister forum to Survivorman....

Well I wouldnt want ot do that because we already have a good mix of everything, and the reason I made it was because of survivorman
