Not bad.
I got mine for $55.
I'm kind of mad at my Wave today.
It bit me last night.
I wasn't paying good attention, and somehow my index finger ended up in front of the blade. When I realized it was there, I pulled it back out of the way and when I did, it sliced a neat chunk out of my finger.
I immediately applied pressure to it so it wouldn't start bleeding. I quickly put some antiseptic on it between times of applying pressure, and cut some guaze and stuck it on with a Band-Aid.
I put another Band-Aid on it so it wouldn't come off in my sleep. Big mistake. I woke up about midnight with it aching and pain shooting up my finger. I had it on too tight. I had to cut the second Band-Aid off and loosen the first one. Those are some good Band-Aids, let me tell you. Felt better after that.
Hopefully, it will heal up soon to where I can go without the bandage.
Not to self: pay better attention when dealing with folders.
Lesson learned.

^ Thats like blameing your gun going off & shooting you when you are cleaning it
99.7 % of the time knife cuts are the use'ers fault. A slight lack of attention and Slice ! .... ive done it myself.

All my cuts from my knives have been from my dumb accidents.

Yeah, I know.
Stupid mistakes.
Dealing with knives is just like dealing with wood. No matter how hard you try, you will eventually get a splinter. Unless you wear gloves, that is. 'Course, if I had been wearing gloves when that happened I wouldn't have this Band-Aid on my finger.
I redressed it this morning, and it didn't bleed, so I just put some more Neosporin on it and stuck another Band-Aid on it.

I do however miss my Swiss Army Officer Victorinox. I gave it to one of my nieces. She says she uses it all the time. I certainly hope so because that was a precision instrument. |
That Officer model was a fine piece of gear.
It was a classic & I hope your niece is enjoying using it.
I think it evolved into the model they call the Spartan now.

I've always wanted a real SAK, and this is the one I picked out.
Victorinox Plain Edge OH Trekker
I didn't like the idea of serrations on the original OHT, but this one comes without them. Now I don't have to use the evil belt sander to grind them off.
What do you guys think?

I'm not a huge SAK fan, but that one doesn't look too bad!
