What would be a survival forum without a muti-tool thread? We had like 10 threads on the old site.

I own two, a Leatherman Blast and a Buck "BuckLite". The bucklite is a piece of junk, only thing good about it is that when you break it buck will replace it for free. The leatherman is great thoe! I only carry the buck with me as a secondary knife and wire cutter.

I have a Leatherman Charge Ti now, and it replaced my Leatherman PST (which, by the way is still going strong!). Recently, I had a problem with the sheath from the Charge Ti. I emailed the Leatherman Group and they had a replacement in the mail right away (even though the sheath is not covered under warantee). They are a great company, with great products and they stand behind them! That's why i will ALWAYS carry a leatherman!*

* And no, I don't work for them! Wink

I think they way they see it is that they won't be sending you a new pouch every year, but a few years down the road when your buying a new multi-tool you'l remember the good service and look to leatherman first. It's the little things that matter most, and you will tell your friends of this service (as shown posting here) which will get the best kind of advertising across to people. Excelent business move by an even better company.

So yea i like leatherman Very Happy

so has anyone owned or used brands other then those mentioned so far (gerber/leatherman/buck)? Impressions of them? I see that winchester has knives and multi-tool's now, but i'm skeptical of their quality.

I'm loving my leatherman/Fire Steel combo. I have my leatherman on the sheath and the firesteel hangs off. Its great for almost all seasons (firesteel).

Sorry to bring up a month old topic, but I just got a Leatherman Charge TTi Very Happy
It's amazing but was kinda costly (although at my age, 20, I don't have too many bills yet so I can afford the nice stuff sometimes Razz)
