Post My new little Bushcraft blade !!! Reply with quote
Just thought ya might like to see my new little Bushcraft blade. The blade is made by Matt of ML Knives, I begged him to send me the blank blade so I could make a handle. For a small knife this thing will cut with the best of them and is a delight to use !

Compared with my Buck Diamondback....

You can see it's exactly the same size as a VIC SAK......

And here it is with my little Survival pack sheath......

Very Happy

Very nice! Very Happy

That's a sweet little bushcraft blade. Cool

What kind of steel is it?

Looks like a good neck knife, or just something to keep in a small PSK like you have there in the 4th pic. Cool

How do you like that Diamondback, by the way? I've been thinking about getting one. What pros and cons have you found from using it?

Thank's buddy it's made of 1095 steel and is 1/8" thick, hand forged.

The Diamondback is a great little knife for the money and very under-rated. I have to be honest though and say that the little bushy out performs it by a large margin and cuts easily as well as my much larger bushcraft style blades !

I figured it would outdo it. But for $18, who can resist such a cute knife?! Surprised

Those are some good lookin' blades there Pit!!!

Is that a Ratweiler in the last pic?
I've been lusting for one of those for quite a while, but I've been on a RAT buying binge here lately.

Maybe someday Wink ...

Yeah it's the MK2 version that they called the Chopweiler. I would definitely recommend one, you can see by the coating wear that I have used it quite a lot but it has still never been sharpened and will still shave hair !!!!!!
It's the only knife that I have bought and thought ' that's it I don't need another in this size range now !'.

Here is a pic of me beating on it making kindling.....

How many big knives make fuzzy's like this !

That little ML blade looks like a real winner.

I think if more folks would give knives in that size range a try, they might be surprised at how much you can do with them.

Hey Fonly how's it goin buddy !!!

Matt's knives ( ML knives ) are one of the few that I would recommend without hesitation. When you order one you know that it is going to come hair popping sharp and look amazing. I used to think his prices were a little high but after watching him make them ( check out his videos on you tube ) they are great value. They are all hand forged and hand finished !

Yeah, if I were willing to part with that a chunk of change that big, I would probably get one.

They are very nice. Cool

And would probably outlast my great grandchildren. Laughing
