Me and my dad made this the other day.
I think we did pretty good for our first time.
What do ya'll think?
We also made a sheath for his pruners, but I forgot to take a picture before he left with them.

Thanks guys and gals.

I wish we had had a gun to do it with!
At first, we couldn't figure them out. The rivets were just smushing inside the leather instead of flattening on the top. Eventually, I suggested he use his punch to put an indent in the top of the rivet before he started pounding it with the hammer. That worked finally. The first ones looked kind of crappy, but after we got the hang of it, they started looking better. By the time we got to the belt sheath for his pruners, we were pretty much masters at them.

Learning it the old way is best i think. Useing the gun is fast no doubt. But doing it " manualy " gives the work so much more " feel " & personal touch I personaly dont like things made that are { perfect } they have no " personality " .
Im glad to hear, you & your Dad did it manualy & Old school Good job to both of you.

It kinda looks like an envelope! Pretty impressive craftsmanship though, I must say
