That's just a stock. You can buy them for 870s and mossy 500 series

Turd, are you a member of the U.S. RSOG? I'm not sure I quite understand who they are, a member organization?, or if they welcome outsiders? A private company/militia providing spec-ops? And they're headquartered in my city? I've totally unfamiliar with them.

Just curious.

Anyway I've been surfing their site and it is certainly has some good or interesting survival information. Seems geared more toward military personnel lost or behind enemy lines. And not necessarily wanting to be found (by the enemy that is).

Do you have anymore info on them?

From what I read on there it seems like a SHTF, end of the world as we know it/ run and gun type survival too. Which isn't a bad thing to know. Wink

That was the impression I got after surfing most of their site. They also make it sound like they're available for hire by the U.S. Government for SERE operations?? Just seemed strange and curious since all of those sorts of ops normally stay within military and government channels.

But they do have some good advice on survival techniques. So, a good link to have, for survival education.

I've already been considering their advice on using a .22 handgun, with red-dot and light. I can see their reasoning, especially for use in a B.O.B., or for long wilderness backpacking trips.

It can't replace a 12g of course. But the weight and ammo savings are substantial if hiking long distances over rough terrain.

Any other thoughts on using a .22 handgun for a B.O.B. kit?

Sorry turd, I didn't know. I figured Canada would be more liberal about allowing handguns.
Here, some states allow a person to possess and carry a handgun, once that law-enforcement has checked her/him out. But most states still prohibit actively showing and carrying one (like a cowboy with a pistol belt). Texas may be the exception, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I'm taking a handgun safety class to qualify for a concealed carry permit here in Kansas.

In Alabama anyway, if you have your permit on your person you can carry your handgun anywhere. Smile

Hey Colt!

Off-topic, but you live in Maryland? I used to live in Gaithersburg, near Rockville/Bethesda.
