fired my first shotgun when i was 8. 20 guage single shot. Dad made sure that I practiced every safety measure with exact detail.. was a great foundation to build on. Before that i had bb/pellit guns but that was the first long gun i ever fired... so 17 years

The gun itself is 6 pounds.. the scope is 13.2 ounces but with the rings and base it's about 16 ounces (one pound) so the overall weight is just about 7 pounds.. empty. 12 bullets wont weigh too much... so i'd say around 7.5 pounds in total.. pretty heavy considering it's only a .22 magnum but I like the weight in it!

can't use the magnum on grouse... legally... but it will probably be the first kill (with the shotgun) if i don't get a deer this year with the bow. I will be using the magnum for rabbits and coyotes!
