Well i just odered my pocket cooker today Very Happy Its my first new piece of gear for the new year Cool
They started making them again about a year ago. They stopped making them awhile back, but the demand for them was so strong that they put them back up, sweet. Ive read many good things about this great little unit.
Its a safe way to have a fire anywhere. I will post again when i get it and do a nice little review.

It is my impression that the resurgence in popularity is due the the burn bans in many areas.

They are much more convinient than the old hobo stoves we used to make.

I'll bet that thing would work well in a home fireplace with a chumk of artificial fire log as fuel! Good emergenncy gear.

Those things ROCK Cool .

They'll boil a quart in about 5 minutes.

I used mine a couple nights ago to make some Jiffy Pop popcorn for my daughter & her friends.

Looking forward to your review.

I think I got two of those from Campingsurvival.com,but I can't remember for sure.
I got them over the summer & have been real happy with them.

Since you posted about them,I think I'll take mine outback & heat up a little lunch this afternoon Very Happy .

You're going to like it Dave. Easy to set up & they really work well with just about anything you can find that burns.

I just emailed Backwoodsman to see when it would arrive. And they said there would be a slight delay Confused as they have run out of them, lol. The demand is high i guess. So, they said by the 26'th it should be in route Cool Hopefully by the 30'th on this month i'll have it.

Mmmmm, Tea on a cold days Hike Laughing Great pics Cliff N.

Q: Is there a " burn off time " with these when you first get it ?. Like do they tell you to set it up & do a 10 minute burn before useing for cooking etc.

Nope...no burn in time , but the first time you use it some of the paint will probably burn off.

Not a big deal , but it is a little dirty to handle (like when you're putting it away) after you use it.

Nice pics, Cliff. Cool

I don't think I need one right now, but I will eventually get one. It's just one of those things that you like to know you have. It will get lots of use, though. Very Happy

By the way, how much is Campingsurvival.com's shipping?
