A Short letter from David Suzuki |
|
Well much to my surprise !, the man himself David Suzuki replyed to a short video i shot in my area of a local creek that Salmon were running up. This area has been heavily built on over the last 3 years, and seriously damaged wildlife & salmon creeks.
So i was out in this area one morning & i heard splashing around so i was is it ! ........ yes ! ... Salmon !
I filmed it and sent to the David Suzuki Foundation & they said thanks very much we will pass this along.
Well 2 weeks later, Bam ! David Suzuki emailed me back Just a short letter but cool Here it is.
Dear Dave:
Thanks so much for that. Has there been an effort to bring the salmon back or did this just happen? I always think nature is so much more forgiving than we deserve. If we just pull back and give nature a chance, all kinds of things happen. If people in the area around the creek know salmon are there, maybe they'll take pride and possession and become their protectors. Thanks for sharing that.
David Suzuki

awesome Dave, good to know that he cares and seems fairly understanding of nature. I hope he is right and people will start to protect the area. The fact that he even responded himself is amazing, you don't get that too often these days.

^ I was shocked, lol. Ive had his team email me, never him. I replyed to that of course, if he replys back i will post that as well. If ? lol
David Suzuki has been around since i was a kid, promoting sound enviromental ways & saving nature etc. Its his life work.
I dont think in this day & age that there isn't a place on this planet he could go and not get recognized

We tend to get the impression that the more famous someone is, the more aloof and unapproachable they are. It's always nice to discover that this is not always the case. Keep us updated Drummer.
