Great link Troop. Great vid too.
It just so happens im looking to buy bear spray. Ive been getting in the back woods alot more, im talking....THE BACK WOODS.
65km from the nearest road. So ive been thinking i should get alittle more pertection.
I carry 2 large fixed blades when im out there, but still, you can never out run a bear, and who really wants to fight with one ?????
So if a can of bear spray keeps him away from me, its worth what ever it cost's Laughing Cool

Yeah I don't think the knives would do anything to a bear at all. Buy bear spray, then you can look like dog the bounty hunter. Razz

Then all you need is a black ensemble, grow your hair long and dye it yellow. Then start saying "bra" like crazy. Wanna smoke bra? Laughing

I used to watch it, but the cussing got old. He is smart to carry pepper spray instead of guns, though. Cool

But yes, you need to get some pepper spray before you go in THE BACK WOODS. Surprised

Here's some bear spray from Cabela's. Cool

It seems to me that you have more bears in towns in B.C. than in the backwoods. Recently a woman was attacked by a black bear because she ran from it when it entered her gardan. A few days later golfers saw a black bear enter the basement window of a house next to the course. By the time police arrived, it had taken some food out into the yard for a picnic. The people who were upstairs in the house didn't even know it had been inside until afterwards.
But those are black bears. I have hiked in black bear territory all my life without feeling unsafe or carrying spray. I have hiked just a little bit in grizzly country without spray, but I think if I were to go back into grizzly territory I would carry spray.

Ya, ive read all the storys in the paper. Its because of the late summer here.
Stayed colder longer, so everything for the wildlife is behind.
So they come down to check out gardens etc. And alot of dumb assess leave garbage out knowing bears are around Rolling Eyes
For 5 days the " bears " have made front page. And the cops just kill them.
