Haha, I have done it before. You're right, it doesn't feel too good, and stretching does help as well. I've recently got back into strength training, and I need to maintain a certain weight, so I don't lift heavy at all. Low/moderate weights. Once a week I'll try and go heavy, but it's not often.

If you go low to medium weight but more reps that builds more muscle I believe. Cool

Went to the gym by myself today. It's hard going alone. Shocked So the moral of the story, if you can find a friend to go work out with do it. I normally go with a friend but he got called into work. It screws up your pace, and ambition going alone. Confused

That and it's always nice to have a spotter on free weights. Very Happy

Yeah, you never know the moment your arms will suddenly give out. Shocked

That link on the first page you posted was really helpful in learning free weights. Cool

Glad it helps! I've been doing mostly free exercises lately because I havent had time to get to the gym. Doing enough pullups, sit-ups and pushups does the trick for upper body work though, and I can run pretty much where ever I want, so getting out of shape has been a nonissue.

I'm actually curious what my weight will be this month. I weigh myself for the air force every month, and so far I haven't gained or lost a single pound. I want to see if I've gained muscle.

Well my weight lifting's paid off so far. I'm able to do a lot more pushups. Half of it is just overcoming mental obstacles, in other words pain. Actually weight lifting's been getting kind of addicting really. I start seeing results and I want more and more. My arms are slowly building up muscle, and my abs are getting pretty good too.
