Thats cool Bill, good find. Easy to make, and very handy to have in camp.
Many uses for something like that, & you could make a larger version as well.

that would work pretty good to use as a knife handle as well using the same idea to make sure your rock that you made into a knife blade will hold nice and tight then just wrap some cord and maybe some pitch and your good

Ya, no doubt. Its would make a good handle for holding the obsidian blade.
That would be a good project to try, i have Obsidian
