I've always wondered what it would be like to be sitting in the bottom of the canoe. Probably a lot less tippy than one with seats.

> Yes, it would be more stable sitting right on the bottom. I paddle like this once in awhile, or when it gets really windy.
I even lowered my seats in the canoe, from just 3 inches off the gunnel to 7 inches. Big differance.

with my kayak I'm virtually sitting on the water so to speak. It's great if you get your fishing hook tangled up in the weeds. Wink

I wonder if I'll be able to paddle on the bottom of mine, I'm not sure because the sides might be just a little too high Rolling Eyes

> im assuming you have a canoe ?. You can paddle any canoe like this. Just sit in the middle and pick a side, then get close to the gunnel, the boat will list that way, but dont panic. Once this happens you r good to go. Ive gottin the gunnel so its about 3" from the water.
Once you get confidence with this its a nice way to get around the lake.
