This is going to be a pictorial of how to make a Birch Bark Canoe.
Im going to post it in sections so the people with dial up or slow connections can still view it.
Ive never made one so i cant explane the steps, so i hope the pics do the talking for ya. Cool

Dang that's crazy! Shocked I always go for the bark after the woods rotted, then smack out the inside. Wink Great for fire. Twisted Evil Wonder what he used the rest of the tree for. Question

Its free if you make you own Razz Just need to practice a lot. Typically, you use the rest of the tree for the frame Mystik, because once you ring the bark like that, the tree is as good as dead.

^ Ya thats just it, its finding someone that can make a Birch bark canoe.
If you have never done it, forget it, lol. It takes a real master to get everything right. Cool
Thats why im thinking it wold be a costly thing to get someone that knows what there doing to make it.
These days Gas isn't cheap & costum canoe making isn't as well. Rolling Eyes

Everything is expensive these days...

I'd make sure to plant a tree to replace the one used too. Smile Maybe two.
