Here are a few knives I recently heat treated... Notice the one on the left that cracked during the quench... Pictured with my Bushknife.

Maker's Mark.... Wildertools by Rick Marchand




This next pic shows a few "Strife" striker/knives and two of my "Gentlemans" strikers. Pictured with a Firepouch w/ flint and steel kit and a Neckpouch w/ magnesium/ferro bar and scraper.

The cracked one is cool, you can call it " The Shark " clean it up give it a good edge. JK Razz

I just forged this today.... after the initial forging I felt it was a little handle heavy so I drilled some lightening holes to balance it out. I intend to put birch handle scales on it with brass pins. I'll post more pics when I'm done.

I just put the handle scales on after dinner today.... just gotta to finish the edge now... It'll have to wait for tomorrow...
This one is screaming for a leather sheath with a Kydex liner!! Have to talk to Eric at On/Scene Tactical about a colaboration.... Oh, yeah.

Well, here's the final product, folks.......

Bushtrekker
Material - 5160, handforged
Thickness - 1/4" at spine, full convex bevel
Blade length - 6" cutting edge, 6 7/8" incl. ricasso.
Blade width - 1 1/2" at widest, 1 1/4 at ricasso.
OA length - 11 1/8", balance point at center of ricasso.
Handle slabs - Curly Birch, 4 1/4" long, buffed with beeswax.
Finish - Rough forge finish with mustard patina.
Misc - Brass Corby bolts and lanyard tube.
Sheath - Coming soon!
