This site used to have a lot of pictures of them that were made by forum folks, someone might be able to link you to the pages. http://wildwoodsurvival.com/survival/traps/figure4/figure4.html here is my suggestion, we use this site often enough Smile

Me too. Never learned how to make one, but the picture really helps. Very Happy I made a piaute deadfall, but you wont have twine everywhere. Cool

Cordage, can make cordage easily enough, at least I can so it still works for me. The more traps and snares you have in your repertoire the greater your odds of having success in different situations. Once you master the figure 4 on the ground, try setting it up on a tree trunk. Going vertical always makes things more interesting Laughing

thanks I wanted to learn to make one. I don't know why because I don't like to kill animals, but if I am in a situation where I might have to it would be great to have the knowledge Very Happy

Great vid. Smile

It's a goal of mine to invent a trap. It's hard to do if you think of it, but this year I hope to invent my own. Cool

loved the hobo fishing going give it a try. loved your trap how harsh. I don't want to be anywhere near the traps when they go off.

That many times, huh? Laughing

It only took me a couple tries and a small modification to get my first one. Cool

Well, it may only take you a few tries to get your first one, but in a survival situation you make multiple traps to increase your odds. And setting all of those up, well as you can see from watching Les, can be quite a pain Confused
