Fantastic, there really is a lack of videos on this forum. I can make them but I want to get better at my skills first.
I know your great with canoes I would love to see some intructional videos

> Im on the learning curve to Troop. The first 2 or 3 vids will be very basic, no sound, maybe music. None longer than 3 minutes. I'll only be useing my Camera for the first bit. But like you said there is barely any vid from forum people.
Its all about the editing The canoe stuff is a great idea, but like Les i will have to make a mount of some kind to the boat...... Hmmm, now you got me thinking  Cheers

If I were doing a video about canoeing i would not make elaborate mounts, rather make a simple mount facing you in the front (mabey chest-head level)
And make have a blow up boat with another camera, i dont know

Oh it would be a simple mount off the stern faceing me, getting all of me paddleing.

Mabey a rotating mount? So you can spin it around ?

I have a question for you Dave. Do you wear a wet or dry suit canoeing when it's spring and the water's really cold? When I get my kayak I'll be wearing a wet suit for spring.

> No, although some times i think of getting one. I find them uncomfortable. I have a dry sack with a change of cloths & all my fire liteing gear. Ive never fell in or dumped my canoe over. I dont put myself in a What if ? senario when on the water. If i see the weather changing for the worse i get off the water & wait it out. I have been in wind storms that caught me by surprise & tossed me around good, but ive managed to paddle it out.
If i go into the water, i always wear my PFD, im a averge swimmer, i know when to rest & when to swim.
Im always on lakes, never been in the ocean. If i was to start to do that, Yes ! i would have a wet suit for sure.

Yeah kayaking and canoeing are real different, because you're feet from the water where i'd be mere inches from it. I truely have to agree with you, wet suits are very uncomfortable.  < your eyes bug out like that too.  I had to swamp my canoe at camp before. Lets just say it doesn't sink slow.

Yup works fine. Just don't mount your camera really high on your boat like les did in Alaska.

Made another short vid. Im learning the editing, so just wait alittle, lol.
I put the camera in front of the little bush for effect, but found out where i stop & look around, im right in front of a branch, lol, oh well. Any feedback is welcome. Remember, im a newbie at this.
