Not the same spot but close.

I have a big property so i got lots ot work with.

I did eventually fill the hole actually, i just make the picture a little early.

I think i may use that spot for an actual survivorman thing If i do one though, its great.

Lots of spruce to block the wind.

Don't get these ones, they rip, and arn't as sturdy as "Heatsheats. http://cgi.ebay.com/LARGE-1-2-PERSON-SURVIVAL-BLANKET-HEAT-SHEET_W0QQitemZ260311442596QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item260311442596&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

These cost a little more, but are far more sturdy.

There was a post on Wildsurvive where a guy set up on as a shelter and it wen't through storms, and all kinds of stuff, stayed up for 26 days.

this is what i have in mind...

i would tie it down to the tent pegs with paracord, and atach it to the tree by tieing paracord between the two trees to make the peak. The spruce bows that i could cut along with the spruce trees would be put infront of the entrance to block wind and kinda close in it's face... if you know what i mean. That part is not shown in my crude drawing... but i think you get the general idea.

And i didn't notice but for some reason it says "tent pegs" on the top left... random. lol

It might work, Daffy. With a tarp, you never know until you try. Cool

Good luck. Very Happy

I carry 2 4X7 Ponchos that double as my shelter, they can make a lot of nice shelters!

I've got a 6X8 or 6X7, not sure, but it works.
