That's cool.
They're insulated really well, too.

That's pretty sweet. Must have taken a long time to get all that bark in nice long stips like that.

No kidding.
Sweet shelter, though. Looks like it would shed rain nicely.

That's a lot of quotes. | That it is sorry couldnt help but add to the chaos. Shelters are giant tinder bundles. I know from experience. In my advanced standard at Tracker School, a guy was smudging his to get the bugs out, his door fell in for a second and WOOSH, thing lit up...needless to say it lit the woods up bright for a good hundred meters around at least, and we had to rush and fill buckets of water and carry them to the thing with 15' flames. Needless to say, we learned its important to be careful with your shelters

BushRat is right, though. You can't burn down an igloo.
Otherwise, KEEP THE FIRE OUT OF THE SHELTER!!

This reminds me of the Alaska episode of "Survivorman" where Les' shelter caught fire. He said that it was the first time it had ever happened to him. But we saw it happen in season 1 in northern Ontario in the fall.
The moral here is to be careful with shelters and fire.
The other moral is to be careful what you say on tv.

Actually it was just the root of the tree he was next to that caught fire. His shelter didn't actually catch fire. In Alaska the whole front of it was on fire and he had to douse it with water.
Regardless, you are right. Be careful with fire.

Somthing to make sure not to do unless extreme conditions, and only then with extreme caution is burn a stove or such inside your tent. I know someone who burnt down their whole tent because of a gas leak that caught on fire.
