Some Cool Shelters |
|
I thought i would post a new thread for people to post pics of other peoples shelters to help give people ideas & help with the lay out of differant shelters. Doesn't matter where in the world they were made as long as they are people made & around the forest

Those are awesome, MASSIVE, but awesome. I am pretty sure those are more permanent living shelters or multiple person shelters due to the size of them

This one's made by Thomas J. Elpel, he's a primitive living writer from Montana. He made a fire trench, put sand over it, and used straw as an insulator, and a tarp on the top.

Wow!
Those are awesome.
We built a shelter at our survival class a couple months ago, but I don't know where the pictures are.

How ironic. I just watched Boreal Forest today.
Did you take a picture of the DVD, or did you find this photo?

Very nice.
They have a covered "porch", but can "close the curtain" for foul weather.

For an assignment we have to make a vision board. One of the catagories is what is your dream home. Here's mine. Nice Mandan-style earth lodge.
