In my wildlife class we have a survival unit right now. It's pretty funny because I know everything that he teaches, and everyone else is confused. And the survival unit wouldn't be complete without watching Survivorman. We've already watched about 3 episodes, and we watched The Science of Survival "Lost in the Snow" show. That's the one about the "I shouldn't be alive" episode. Les also does that one. Don't you wish you had a redneck teacher? Very Happy

Sounds like a good class to be in Cool I have never been to or joined a Survivol class.
Ive always been self taught, reading, videos, etc. Classes are no doubt a good thing. Cool

True, self taught is the way to go just you need to have a couple differnt sources to learn from. not every book is accurate.

It's a wildlife class, but were on the survival unit. It's not extensive, but it's a good review and really fun. I've self-taught myself most of what I know about survival. (Books, etc...) My survival knowledge has really accumulated a lot through the years.

oh I have plenty of those but none of them know worth spit about survival!
I took a "forestry" class thinking it was going to be more like learning about a forest and what all lives in one, but it pretty much turned out to be wood shop. instead of learning how to protect the forest, we learned how to tier it down. I really did learn more than that but most of it was about wood. I now can tell the difference between maple and oak. Laughing it was a fun class though. I got to use POWER tools! Twisted Evil
