Question about file name |
|
Alright I'm not sure if this happens on everyone's computer but it happens on mine and drives me nutts!
when I have file names that are numbers, 1 , 2 ,3 etc, they arnt listed properly.
For example, numbers 1-9 go up well, but once I have a picture named 10 it is listed after 1 rather than 9. The numbers dont go up numerically. ANy way to fix this?
My folders look like this (assuming I have 11 files):
1
10
11
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9

The way I fixed it was by instead of using numbers use letters. I think the computers think that 10 is more than 2 because the first digit is still less.

I have experienced this before, and I'm not sure how I fixed it but I think it went something like this:
Assuming your files are sorted by name(numerically, then alphabetically), change the way they are sorted. Do it by date, or file type. Then change it back to by name. I think that reorders it the right way. No guarantees, but I think that fixed my problems.
Hope that helps.
