I was poking around the dark nether regions of the workbench on the weekend and I came across an old 6 volt battery that I had been saving because it was still putting out a couple of volts, so maybe I could use it for something some day. Rolling Eyes
Anyways, it was now completely dead, and I knew what to do with it. Very Happy

First, I removed the label. This turned out to be unneccessary, but was still a good excuse to use a knife.

Then I pried up the top with a screwdriver, using a couple of taps from a hammer to get it started.

Drum roll, please!
Here's what was inside. That's not 32 AA batteries. Each of those cells seem larger than a pair of D batteries stacked end to end. I guess we can consider this myth busted! Surprised

Told ya so. Wink

If you think about the amount of space 32 AA's would take up, a 6-volt seems pretty close. But it's not true. Razz

Yeah watch the video again. Once the lid is off they do a nice fade, and suddenly you see 32 AA with all their labels peeled off. Even the url was called gagfilms.com. Laughing They sure spent a lot of time peeling off AA labels, because believe me they take a few minutes for each one.
