I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I GOT FIRE TODAY WITH MY BOW AND DRILL IM SO PUMPED LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND IT WAS SO EASY I DONT KNOW HOW I NEVER GOT IT BEFORE LOL ALTHOUGH THE ONLY THING I CHANGED WAS MY FORM A BIT HAHA WOOT LOL. ok ill stop yelling now and to those who havent got it yet dont give up i have been trying for a long time and finally this last week i have been trying everyday and today i finally got it

the wood i used was was willow for the spindle and bow,nylon rope for the cordage,poplar firebored.
lol just to make sure i didnt fluke out i went out an hour later and did it again. i can make fire this way in about 30-45 sec

I have to get my *ss in gear with the firebow as well. I must get it this year

lol i hope you can do it but then ill have to do 15 sec lol. here is a tip rest your hand against your shin and the spindle in close to keep it stable. use a longer bow it works alot better than a short one and once you start seeing smoke go a little faster and make even more smoke once you have lots of smoke going and a nice pile take the board away and let the coal sit for a sec then put it into your tinderbundle and blow it into a nice fire

Didn't I tell ya the hardest part was realizing how close you'd been to it this whole time? It is yours now... because you've lived it... now you don't have to think about it... just feel it, because you will always remember what it FELT like. Now try it in different conditions.... snow, rain, wind, sun... and then try different sized kits and learn to compensate for minor problems.
You got braggin' rights now, bro!
