Anyone have any suggestions about item/modes of transportation for season 2?
Just curious what you guys could cook up.

I think it would be cool if Les had a horse in the back country.
Way ! in the back country. Have it so he travels every day & set's up camp & has to find, water/food/ etc.

Well, he could have done another "hurt" episode by simulating being thrown from the horse and it running away. Maybe, this time Les should break his leg and concentrate on setting up a camp with his only intention to survive until he can signal someone to get him out...

I like that idea because it hasnt been done before.
Ushally he leaves so his shelters are never amazing. I want to see what he would do with 7 days of shelter making time

i think for les to show more would be pretty hard in the time he has but i think it would be cool for les to do a prolonged stay in one location then in one episode he could show a summery of the stay kinda like the current show but then he could consentrate on specific skills in individual episodes taken from the same location that way he could stretch this out for years with one season consentrating on differant locations

If Les does another Arctic/far north episode how about filming it during the long night of winter? Of course it would be even colder but the challenge of surviving in a perpetually dark environment would be unique. Not sure how much moonlight he'd get up there but it would be interesting to watch.

not only would it be tuff, but the whole show would be in nightvision green. I duno about you guys but that doesn't really appeal to me. But to each their own.

The Arctic was so dangerous and difficult to do in sunlight - threat of polar bears, crevasses, few resources, few landmarks - that I just can't imagine it being done in the dark. Part of survival is weighing risk against benefits, and I think this would have too much risk.

I don’t think his solar powered battery charger would work to well. Maybe he could use a small hand crank charger but this would take a lot of his time. A small wind power charger could be an option too.

Thats true. I wonder if there is a crank charger for video cam batteries. That would be cool

There must be a crank charger for camera batteries, they've got them for cell phone batteries, all it takes is a slight adjustment to the coils and an adapter that fits the battery. Something like that would make Les' job a LOT easier.
And yeah, I would really like to see mounted survival with a horse. Ray Mears did an episode of Bushcraft (I think it was Bushcraft...) on horseback through the American southwest, and it was really cool.

I would like to see Les go into a location with a broken down helicopter and for a different episode maybe go in with an ATV or something.
