Ok, here's the Bushmaster. The only thing I've added is the rear sight, but I'm considering changing it.

No, just a civilian. The semi-automatic is legal to own for anyone who can pass the background check to purchase a gun. This gun was manufactured before the "assault weapons ban" sunsetted, and since it has a bayonette (sp?) lug, it had to be stamped "Law Enforcement or Government Use Only". When the ban expired it became legal to buy a semi auto with bayonette lug, folding stock, etc.

I still want to get a laser for it, it would be a shame to have that quad-rail and not take full advantage. I was thinking of mounting it on the right side of the fore end. This is a laser I found on eBay:

Hey K-Bob you may want to do some research on that particular laser. There were a lot of reports from Ar15.com about it not being safe. Infact they were saying it was operating in a dangerous wave length that will damage your eyes. Just so you know man. I had orderd a couple for my AR, and for a shotgun I was building, but cancled the order after I found out about. Now I have an M6x on my M4gry.

I guess it's in your name to question the flashlight and not the gun. Laughing

Alright, as you know I love my guns. I would like to have one of everything out there, but I think I'll have to settle for one for each purpose. My newest project "the hand of god" (long story) was dreamed up my myself and a good friend of mine. We decided that punching holes in paper at 300 yards was fun, but what if we could do the same thing at 600 yards, or maybe 1000 yards. The last one seemed a little far fetched based on our income at the time, and ability to be able to accuratly hit something at that distance. The first thought was to go big. .50bmg or nothing else. My friend pulled his out, and sure enough 1000 yards was no big deal, so much so that it wasn't even fun. Confused We decided to build a common "sniper" type rifle. It had to be of a common caliber, light enough to carry around the mountains, and able to match the .50 shot for shot out to 1000 yards. This is what came out of our twisted minds....

-remington 700 .300winmag $500
-Choate "ultimate sniper" stock $200
-Harris bi-pod $100
-SWFA Super Sniper Scope $500
-badger ord. Rings $100
-badger ord. -20MOA one piece base $100
- 190gr Siera Match King Bullets
-Phoenix Tactical "pod claws" $120

Total cost: approx $2000 with trigger jobs, barrel lapping, and bolt face polishing.

Once assembled we took it out to put it through it's paces. What we found was a true sub-moa rifle at 100 yards, as well as 300 yards. Meaning it will shoot a five round group that measures less than an inch at 100 yards, and less than 3" at 300 yards. It is also able to match the .50BMG (an AR50) shot for shot all the way out to 1000 yards just like we wanted it to. My friend has since built two more just like it, and I have mine for a total of three of these bad boys. Cool

The photos are a little outdated, as they show the old scope, and don't snow the awsome pod claws that grip anything. I'll try to get my camera back and shoot some updated ones soon.

I also love shotguns almost too much. I buy too many and sell most of them or trade them through out the year. I use one for my home defense option, another for camp guns, and a third for training type purposes. But what I didn't have was one of the show stopper crazy custom shotguns that everyone likes to look at but is still completly functional. So I set out to assmeble one that could cover every senerio I could thnk of from shooting skeet, to clearing a room, to stopping a coyote from coming into camp at night. Once again I sat down and started thinking about what I would need. Some kind of shotgun, a pump so it would be able to shoot many differnt rounds without a hitch, as many rounds as possible to limit reloading, a sight of some kind that could be used in low light situations, a common setup that would be reconizable to me and others quickly, and a light that could finnish a job and hold up to recoil.

-Remington 870
-Cavlery Arms Stock
-Tac-star side saddle
-ergo grip
-tru-glow red/green dot sight
-surefire forend

again, I'll have to get photos of this one later when I get my camera back, but it's pretty cool in my opinon. Embarassed
