lol, I know what it looks like. Laughing

I'm using it for my boat knife. In case I need to cut lines or anything. It doesn't need to be big, in fact it doesn't matter what knife it was just that it was stainless steel so it doesn't rust.

I wish I had a fixed blade knife, but the only one I've ever had I gave to my cousin (It was her dad's when he was military mp, didnt feel right keeping it)

and here it's illegal for anyone under 18 to buy ANY KIND of knife... stupid psychotic kids stabbing eachother, way to ruin it for the rest of us Mad

My friend is getting his dad to buy me a USMC fixed blade for my birthday though so it wont be long now Very Happy

You have to be 18 to buy here too. They don't even let you hold it in the store if you aren't 18. Shocked It's a kabar that you're getting right? I don't have one, but I think I should buy one just to say I have one. Laughing

I think its similar to the one that I had except the one that I had also had a small pouch on the outside of the sheath where a really small (like 2 1/2 inches long and maybe 1 wide) sharpening stone was kept. I'm not sure if it comes with this one, I hope it does Smile

Yes it does. Smile
Ontario's pilot survival knife, classic knife. Many people put a Scandi grind on it and turn it into a major user.

I just got a Mora Swedish Military Knife:

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=78455

Sucker is sharp from the get-go! I like the fact that this one is a carbon blade instead of stainless steel. The sheath is sort of cheesy, but I like the knife so far!

I have an older one of those. I gotta restore it though, a buddy borrowed it for awhile and now it's caked in rust! I just bought a bagfull of steel wool, I guess it'll make a good project... Rolling Eyes

Of coarse it can be. Hunting knife just describes what style the knife is basically. A knife is a knife and you can use it how ever you need. Cool

Yeah and if you aren't good at knife sharpening you can get scratch marks on the blade. Here's my favorite knife, but it may be too big for your liking. http://www.coldsteel.com/80tft.html

If you want to get a Buck 119, I think you should go for it. It is a good quality knife....and inexpensive. A mora is also a very good choice.

Here's what I would do if I were you: buy a mora, get some experience with it, then buy the Buck 119.

Just my opinion. Cool
