"Identifying and Harvesting Edible and Medicinal Plants in Wild (And not so Wild) Places"
By Steve Brill

This is so far the best book I have ever found on the subject. It covers practical foraging (Things you would want to eat on a daily basis) more than survival foraging though, so this may not be exactly what you are looking for. A ton of useful plants were imported intentionally and escaped cultivation, eventually falling out of use. A lot of entries cover this type of plant, which can be found in disturbed areas like your backyard and local fields or parks, but not necessarily in the middle of the forest. Maybe I'll start adding some of this material into that edible plants thread.
