hey whats up dave? thanks
ya the Ka-Bar fits and feels really nice in my hand. as for balance the first set of leather rings after the gaurd is where it balances on my finger, its not to bad in that i guess. the but end of the knife works very well for pounding nails or tentspikes or whatever you want to hit with it lol. it keeps a pretty good edge on it, i havent had to sharpen it yet and i have done lots of chopping with it as well. the only thing i dont like is the strap on the sheath. when i unsnap it, it doesnt move out of the way for when i draw so it kind of makes for a slow draw but that can be fixed. also it doesnt snap back down very easy its like the strap is a bit to short or something but other than that i really like everything about the knife.

Hey Bill, i was just in an Antique store & they had one of those army pouches, in pretty good condition.
It was $ 8.00 i didnt get it but thought about it. It would make a good rugged carry pouch.

Everyday carry Flashlight |
|
Every single day when I leave the house, I'm always carrying my trusty SureFire E2L Outdoorsman, a Leatherman Fuse multi-tool, and a couple 123A SureFire lithium batteries. On my keys I carry a standard issue Boy Scouts flint and steel. Three Black Diamond Quicksilver screwgate carabiners are usually on my belt, and in my car I have a 150' length of climbing rope and a personal first aid kit.

Oh,it's a walking pole. It has springs between each segment so when you pull it out of the bag in unfolds automatically.

There isn't much you couldn't handle with that set of tools .
I have a Buck folder just like yours around here somewhere. That's the Crosslock I think....good knife.
Those Corona saws have a pretty good reputation too.
How do you like it?
Thanks for posting the pic.

I'll get by with these tools.
The Buck is a Crosslock,The Solitaire.
I've had for 15 years.A great knife.
The saw is really good, cuts like a hot knife through butter.

I just might need to pick up one of those saws .
I've been using a couple Silky Saws & they're working great:
but there's always room for one more
