Strouds Legends - new show next year?? |
|
Look at this article. He mentions a new show. Les is busy. I think he mentions a third season, or maybe that is the Strouds legends

I hope Les is around a long time with his productions.
They are real not contrived, educational, and enjoyable.
I think even Survivorman could go more than 3 or 4 seasons.
Heck, how many seasons have we watched building choppers and hot rods.
I think people not only like his content, but people really like Les as well.
There will always be people that analyze the content down to the very minute detail, they will find fault with anything.
For the most part those people have never been in the wild or have even tried outdoor skills, let along film it to broadcast quality by themselves.
I particularly like this season because I think Les is out of his comfort zone being in different countries.
I know how I feel when I have to get out of my comfort zone.
Anyway I will jump off my soap box now.

Well said Ted.
I agree the fact he's out of his comfort zone/area of knowledge is a big step and it makes this season really unique fromt he last one. THeh biggest part if the fact Les hasn't done too many of these (As you saw season 1 was mostly north and south america). Widening his horizons is interesting but it comes at a price and sometimes that can be hard on him.
Yeah I would like to see more seasons, mabey a third, i'm guessing everyone would like to see him as the bob barker of survival where there are like a quarter of a million epiosdes, but there is only so much he can do.
I would say 3 seasons would be about it. (given what he's done, his age, and the fact he is missing his family)

I personally would like to see Survivorman Canada only and Survivorman USA only for the next season (so half episodes in the states half in Canda) since most people who watch it are form thsoe parts

Ya for sure, since its more realistic to happen to the viewer. Sure some of us go on vacations here and there over seas but its very unlikley you would be lost, and even if I got lost in the jungle somewhere, I would probably die no matter how many episodes of survivorman I saw.
if he did this North American survivorman I think it would be a better reasource for us. Mabey some of the locaitons he goes to he's already been but no experiance is ever the same.

That's a pretty defeatist attitude for someone who's into survival. Personally, I enjoy watching episodes from all environments. You don't know what part of the world you'll find yourself visiting 5 or 10 years from now. Even if you don't go to some of the places Les does, some of the survival techniques he uses in one place can apply to other locations. Plus, there's the sheer entertainment value of a guy from northern Ontario surviving in an unfamiliar wilderness. I think a total of 4 seasons of Survivorman should just about cover it.

Haha I was being partially sarcastic, but i'm really trying to say is even by watching these shows we cant guarentee our success. Of course I would do better than the average joe but there are many dangers and challenges that i'm just not trained for in the jungle (In boreal I know my stuff though) but with future training I may be alright

 | | A defeatist attitude or a realist attitude? you decide. |
Survival is largely about making the right decisions.
