But what he goes through to bring it to us.

Very high quality....anyone else notice BOW as a survival consultant? on the credits.

Does anyone think that Les should have been doing the Solar Still as well as Urine Still ect at the start of the week instead of just at the end? In a survival situation you need to prolong your supplies with those of the environment from the very start to preserve the supplies you do have.

Great episode though. You can see les go from cheerfull to just totally beaten by the heat.

Done in the classic survivorman style. Good thing it didn't go another day, I don't think Les would have made it. Shocked

I notice the class has moved up a bit in the fact that he doesn't get given a thrashed truck he actually gets to tear up a working tuck, lol. Last season they would have took the working truck and left him a heap of junk that wouldn't work with 10 hours of work by a mechanic with parts and tools.

I wondered why he didn't use the urine still from the get go. While he still had a lot anyways. Wink

My wife is making fun of me. She says I act like I am a 13 year old "Survivoman" groupy as excited as I get when new episodes are on.

I took the phone off the hook.
I shut off my pager and my cell phone.
Banished my dogs to the yard.
Ordered everyone out of the room.
Shut off all the lights.

well maybe I better check myself into a rehab clinic...........I think I am!

LOL.. I meant to have this thread closed, but you guys kept it rolling. My first post is an edited one... the original contained spoilers. However I think all our admins being Canadians are going stay out of this thread so I'm going to PM Troop about it, and have him close it if need be. Until then.....

He broke the cardinal rule of outback 4x4. In the event of a mechanical failure, NEVER leave the vehicle. Ray Mears has said it, and even had an episode about it which I need to hurry up and upload for you guys. Other than that, another great episode, and I love the fact he stayed true to form. Nothing but the locations changed. AWESOME!!!!

As a little side conversation, how do you guys think you'll will do in that type of situation. I personally think I'd crawl underneath a tree, and die.

I would have taken the truck apart and used the battery and the radiator fan to make a fan to attempt to keep myself cool during the day. Use the hood to try to create a canopy to shade the inside of the truck.

Schmitty, I think that truck was old enough not to have an electric cooling fan.
As far as Les leaving the truck Bob Loblaw, it was probably a bit cooler under the trees and it wouldn't have been much of a show if Las had just milled around the truck. But you do have me wondering why he didn't explain this choice as he's done in the past. He must figure we all know it by now.
I've seen a lot of shows featuring the Kalahari, but this is the first time I've ever really felt what it must be like to be there. Made me real thirsty to watch Les go through it. Like tfisher, it made me want to bring Les some water too.
Great show, classic Survivorman. I did like the changes to the opening sequence, hints of things to come Wink

What do you guys think of the new intro? Very Happy
I like it! Very Happy

I couldn't help but laugh when he was poking his spear into that active weaver bird nest. Laughing

POKE! POKE! JAB! JAB! POKE! Laughing

I feel bad he didn't get one, but it was funny to watch. Surprised

On the 2nd night when he was dangerously hot, I felt immediate concern for him. Sad I've been that hot before, so I know what he was going through, but it was still rough to watch that part. Embarassed

Best Survivorman yet!! Very Happy Cool

GO LES!! Very Happy

I noticed he got really happy with the Ostrich egg being cooked and eating it. But then I also thought don't do it les, think of your Cholesterol! LOL!

I think maybe he sorta got out of rhythm not surviving on his own like he use too for 2 year (he did season one in 05) so maybe he didn't do as good as he should have. Not saying it wasn't a great episode because it was, but I think he made some errors he is not known for.

"does that look like just one massive egg?" funniest quote ever!

This episode was off the hook man it was good, as far as watching it.

I turned of all the lights, I closed all the curtains, turned on the ac, boosted the volume and told no one to both me for the next hour.

It was awesome, man i'm so glad they are on again Cool

I also saw that chocolate can one on mythbusters. That was really cool to see it actually work in the wild.
