I wonder. How do weaver birds get drinks and food? It would have been interesting to see if Les could have followed them to a source of water.

I wondered why he didn't use his jacket as a net to catch a dozen or more once he realized that he couldn't catch them that way.

Yeah, I thought about that, too. Confused

I guess when you're in that kind of situation, you can't think of everything. Wink

Yeah, it was awesome.

I was really freakin concerned when he almost had Heat Exhaustion though.

I loved the new Clips in the Theme video though. Those were awesome.

Now heres what I wonder... Can I find the amount of people that viewed a channel at a certain time? Cause I'd like to compare Survivormans amount of viewers to Man Stay in Hotels. Err, Man Vs. Wild.

I think overall it was well worth the wait. It was amazing. I was eating pizza and sitting about 2 feet away from the TV with all of the lights off. I am now extremely excited for the Amazon episode.

Great job Les and I'm really glad you pulled through with the heat exhaustion.

P.S. I died laughing when the locust fell out of the tree and Les jumped back...bummer he didnt get a weaver bird.

I couldn't get over the effectiveness and simplicity of the traps. Something I wouldn't have thought of. If he didn't have cups he could have used anything to keep the pits there (bark/twigs) to keep the holes from falling in, just woulda been tricky to get the scorpians out.

I was yelling at my computer when he went throught the "groceries" he had and what he was take'n with him when he didn't mention the plastic bag he took. I was telling my girl about how he coulda used it to get water, then not 2 min later into the episode he used it for that exact purpose.

I am glad to see that Les pointed out a poisonous bug this time, and talk'd about how to tell if one is bad if you don't already know (smell/colour/etc).

It was also great to see how he really is human. I died laughing when he was talking about how "this is crazy" when talking aobut the conditions and how hard it really was.

Excellent episode, and thank you again to coldsoul for providing the Canadian users with a download. I am sure that if you were so kind as to do this for all the episodes each and every Canadian user will be thankefull.

(he did season one in 05)

Wasn't Survivorman Season one filmed in 2003-2004??

There's a group releasing rips on Mininova and Demonoid, Coldsoul, I think you've got it made!

Though it was the most dismal and boring location I could think of, the episode was interesting.. Can't wait for the Labrador/Alaska episodes.

He might of recorded them then, I just know my Info Guide on cable says they first aired in 05.

That episode was awesome, good to have Les back in action and us watching. I cant believe out of the 4 times I watched it, I came in late enough to miss the intro EVERY TIME. Oh well there is always Amazon.

On the first page, people are talking about the Urine still. he may not have used it because he may not have had to go. I know that when it gets hot enough out, my body starts conserving water and I have to go a lot less. Also on the topic of the fan, he was complaining a lot about the wind sucking the water right off of him through convection so I dont think a fan woulda helped that much. Just my thought.

You could be right Brian but I highly doubt it. In my experience if your drinking water and not something like Soda or other high Sodium (Salt) drink then you will be urinating alot. If you are not Urinating alot then you are not drinking enough water. Since Les drank gallons in 4 days which is the right amount of water I am pretty sure for those 4 days he was urinating normally.

I am using my experience of working as a roofer and in a mirror factory as something to draw off of to compare to the Desert. Though I do think living in California (where it hit 112 last year) is somewhat comparable to the desert anyways.

you guys are both right. In my experance in construction last summer I only brought 1 can of soda for a 10 hour shift. Ushally it was ok but we moved to a differnt area and worked there. It was about 40 degrees celcius and we were hauling bricks in the sun. I urinated once and it was so little that it only lasted a second. I was never so dyhdrated in my life. When I got home I went to a resturant and drank 2 litres of coke in about 5 minutes. It was really crazy. By the end of the week I was brining about 10 litres of water to work each day.

trooper is right, especially so if you sweat a lot, it basically comes out your body that way instead of having to piss it out. - I recently drove across the country this summer and hated having to stop every few hours and find a restroom to go. So after the 1st day i only would take in as little fluid as i needed to avoid a dehydration headache, but most of it would be sweated out anyway so i only had to stop for a restroom once in the 9-10hr drive that day.
